Intro
The goal was to convert a traditional survey into an engaging, game-like experience that encouraged participation while maintaining data accuracy. The primary challenge was to minimize user time commitment while ensuring input methods could capture the same level of detail as the original survey.
Discovery
Early Concepts & Challenges:
Our initial approach envisioned a futuristic, high-tech visualization, but early testing revealed it was overwhelming and ineffective in keeping users engaged. This led to a shift in strategy—breaking the experience into step-by-step interactions to reduce cognitive load while maintaining engagement.
User-Centric Iteration:
Through multiple design iterations, I focused on creating intuitive input modules that streamlined data entry without compromising usability. User research and usability testing played a crucial role in refining interactions, ensuring the experience was fluid, engaging, and easy to navigate.
Visual & Interaction Design:
To enhance immersion, I explored pop culture references that aligned with the futuristic theme—drawing inspiration from TRON, Minority Report, Prometheus, and Iron Man. These influences informed the UI aesthetic, incorporating sleek interfaces, dynamic animations, and an intuitive, cinematic feel.
