Focusing on the lessons learned in my 2D design class, I was exploring how letters can be used to tell visual stories through placement and movement.
For a postcard project I thought it would be fun to list Elizabeth Taylor's husbands and how many years she was married to them. I also had visions of Pepto Bismol pink text.
This project became a thing throughout my school without me realizing what I was doing. I had realized that I made way to man cards (anyone who ever used a letterpress knows, once you get into a flow you just don't stop). So I thought it'd be nice to give out free postcards by means of placing them in their mailboxes. This was all done so that the students could wright their parents, of course!
Little did I know most of them ended up using them as bookmarks, hanging them up in their rooms, and even using them in their own art. I never told a sole that it was me, except my accomplice and good friend.
